Please consider housing a Carmel Art Festival Artist in May 2020. The annual Carmel Art Festival attracts highly talented plein air artists from throughout the country. Housing is a big expense and for many it is often the difference between applying to be juried into our non-profit event and not. This is especially true for emerging artists who have not established local contacts yet. Historically, many of them have become prize winners and ended up in local art galleries or even opened up their own galleries in town. Here is what it entails: Do you have guest facilities that would allow one of our juried artists and possibly a spouse to stay there:
Nothing else is expected of the host. The artist, in return, will paint a small painting for their host which has the 2020 CAF “seal” on the back which proves it was painted by the artist during this festival. The host will also receive an official “thank you” from the Carmel Art Festival plus an invitation to our VIP Wine Event on opening night on Friday, May 15. If you would like to be considered as a possible host, please send us an email. We will then be in touch with you with further information.
