24th Annual Carmel Art Festival
Event Schedule May 18 - 21, 2017
All official Festival events will be held on Mission Street between Ocean Avenue and 6th and Devendorf Park in Carmel-by-the-Sea. Admission is FREE.

All day: Plein Air artists can be seen painting their competition paintings.
On Mission Street & Devendorf Park:
Set-up only.
Friday, May 19:
Throughout Monterey Peninsula:
All day: Plein Air artists can be seen painting their competition paintings.
In Devendorf Park from 12 Noon - 6 PM:
Live Music: Nick Williams Trio 2:30 - 6:00 PM
Sculpture-in-the-Park exhibits by galleries in town.
Steven Whyte, creation of "famous person" sculpture - Day 1.
Information tent open.
Posters, Totes, Hats & T-shirts available for purchase.
Throughout Afternoon: Bring a picnic, dance, listen to music.
On Mission Street:
From 5:00PM Competition paintings start arriving.
7:00-9:00PM - By-invitation-only reception for those who have bid on and purchased art at past festivals and who would like to preview this year's entries and meet the artists who painted them.

Saturday, May 20:
On Mission Street:
8:00AM - 10:00AM - Judging of Plein Air Paintings.
10:00AM - 6:00PM - Public view and bidding on plein air paintings from competition.
5:00PM - Plein Air Awards Ceremony.Come meet the artists!
6:00PM - Close of Silent Auction; followed immediately by Live Auction.
7:00PM - 9:00PM Many new paintings will be put up for sale (not auctioned), non-competition paintings that were painted by our 60 juried artists this week.
In Devendorf Park - 9AM to 6 PM:
Live Music: Stu Heydon Blues Band 11:00AM - 2:00PM
Live Music: Rollin' & Tumblin' Band 2:30 PM - 6:00PM
Sculpture-in-the-Park exhibits by galleries in town.

Information tent open.
Posters, Totes, Hats & T-shirts available for purchase.
Throughout Afternoon: Come bring a picnic, dance, listen to music.

Come meet the Winning Artists from the Festival.

Paintings for sale by our 60 juried artists (no auction).
